British Council pragnie zaprosić Panstwa , wzorem roku ubieglego, do skorzystania z oferty stypendialnej "Joint Roman Wasilewski and British Council Visiting Scholarship ". Stypendium jest przeznaczone dla osób w stopniu doktora, które mogą wyjechać do Cambridge na okres 12 tygodni od lipca do września 2001. Joint Roman Wasilewski and British Council Visiting Scholarship
in the sciences (metalurgy and materials science) and in the humantites and social sciences

Clare Hall is a Graduate College within the University of Cambridge. The Governing Body of Clare Hall invites applications from scientists at Polish Universities and Technical Colleges for the award of the Roman Wasilewski Visiting Scholarship, tenable at Clare Hall for a period of twelve weeks from 3 July to 22 September 2001.

Financial conditions

Free single accommodation within Clare Hall and a generous personal expenses and meals allowance will be provided. The cost of travel to and from Britain will not be provided.

Criteria

Applicants are expected to be at post-doctoral level and wishing to have access to libraries and other available facilities at Cambridge for the period stated. Preference is normally given to those who have not previously had the opportunity to study abroad. A high standard of English is essential.

Requirements

Applicants must provide:
- a curriculum vitae with a recent photograph of yourself, containing details of education, publications list and academic and other achievements;
- a research proposal;
- off-prints (preferably in English) of three recent publications;
- confidential recommendations from two senior academics familiar with the candidate's work;
- proof of the knowledge of English (First Cambridge Certificate, ELTS, etc). Selected candidates will have an interview in English.
