Archiwum Mineralogiczne zamieszcza prace naukowe z zakresu mineralogii, petrologii, geochemii, krystalochemii minerałów, złóż surowców mineralnych, mineralogii eksperymentalnej i znaczenia nauk mineralogicznych w ochronie środowiska naturalnego, które mogą zainteresować również czytelników zagranicznych.

Objętość prac nie powinna przekraczać 2 arkuszy wydawniczych tj. około 40 stron maszynopisu (tekst 1800 znaków na stronę czyli 30 wierszy po 60 znaków) łącznie ze streszczeniami i materiałem ilustracyjnym. Nie mogą to być prace w całości lub w części drukowane uprzednio w innych wydawnictwach. Prace powinny być dostarczone w formie maszynopisu na papierze formatu A4, w dwóch egzemplarzach, lub w jednym, jeśli załączony jest komputerowy zapis na dyskietce 3,5''. Tekst powinien być zapisany na dyskietkach w formacie Word 6.0 for Windows; powinien być pisany interlinią pojedynczą, bez żadnych wyróżnień, wcięć akapitowych, przenoszenia wyrazów i z wyrównaniem wyłącznie lewostronnym. Akapity powinny być rozdzielone jednym wolnym wierszem.

Na pierwszej stronie maszynopisu należy podać kolejno: tytuł pracy, imię i nazwisko autora, nazwę i adres instytucji, w której autor jest zatrudniony, adres poczty elektronicznej oraz początek tekstu. Właściwy tekst powinien być poprzedzony krótkim, kilkuzdaniowym abstraktem, zawierającym najistotniejsze informacje przedstawione w pracy.

Spis literatury ułożony bez numeracji w kolejności alfabetycznej nazwisk z inicjałami imion i rokiem wydania (w nawiasie) powinien zawierać potem tytuł cytowanej pracy, dalej tytuł monografii lub czasopisma, numer tomu oraz strony a w razie potrzeby także numer zeszytu. W tekście obowiązuje cytowanie przez podanie nazwiska i roku, a przy pracach mających więcej niż dwóch autorów -- nazwiska pierwszego autora z dopiskiem et al. oraz roku. Literatura rosyjskojęzyczna powinna być podana w transkrypcji angielskiej z zaznaczeniem w nawiasie (in Russian).

Tabele powinny być wyłączone z tekstu, ponumerowane liczbami arabskimi i zaopatrzone w umieszczone nad nimi tytuły. Dodatkowy wykaz tytułów tabel wraz z objaśnieniami powinien znajdować się na oddzielnej kartce w dwóch egzemplarzach.

Figury (rysunki, wykresy, szkice i fotografie) powinny mieć podane numery i nazwiska autorów (napisane ołówkiem), np. "Fig. 3, J. Kowalski", oraz wielkość nie przekraczającą 25 x 36 cm. Tytuły i dodatkowe objaśnienia figur powinny być napisane na oddzielnej kartce w dwóch egzemplarzach.

Począwszy od tomu LIII, zgodnie z uchwałą Rady Redakcyjnej, prace drukowane będą wyłącznie w języku angielskim. Po polsku zamieszczane będą jedynie abstrakty. Redakcja nie będzie pokrywała kosztów przekładu tekstów, lecz tylko -- w razie konieczności -- koszty weryfikacji językowej. Również druk barwnych figur będzie realizowany jedynie na życzenie i koszt autorów.

Redakcja zastrzega sobie prawo wyboru prac i dokonywania, w porozumieniu z autorem, niezbędnych zmian i skrótów.

INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

Archiwum Mineralogiczne  publishes scientific papers in the fields of mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry, crystallochemistry of minerals, deposits of ore and non-ore mineral raw materials, experimental mineralogy and mineralogical and geochemical aspects of environment protection, which may be of interest to the Polish and foreign readers. 

Size of the submitted manuscripts should not exceed 2 editorial sheets i.e. circa 40 pages of the A4 size (standard typescript of 1800 signs per page i.e. 30 lines, 60 signs each), abstract, illustrations, explanations to the illustrations and tables inclusively. The papers submitted to print in Archiwum Mineralogiczne must not be printed before in part or in whole in other journals. The text should be given as typescript or computer print in two copies, or in one copy, if the computer record on a diskette 3.5'' is enclosed. The format Word 6.0 for Windows should be used for the diskette record. The text should be written with the single-line spacing and left-side margin alignment, without use of indentations, bolds, italics, hyphenation of words or other formats. Paragraphs should be separated by one blank line.

The first page of the typescript should bear in sequence: title of the paper, given name and surname of the author(s), name and address of the institution(s), where the author(s) work(s), the author's (or authors') e-mail(s), abstract and, if space permits, beginning of the text. The abstract, placed before the text, should consist of several sentences and announce the essential conclusions of the paper. This abstract will be used in the present www page as well.

References without numbers of the individual items should be arranged alphabetically by the first author, then second etc. author(s) with the given name(s) initials and the publication year (in parentheses). Subsequently one gives the quoted paper title, title of the monograph or journal, volume, (if necessary issue), and pages. Quoting in the text is made by the author's surname and issue year; if a publication has more than two co-authors, one gives the surname of the first co-author, the abbreviation et al., and the year. Russian language literature should be given in English transcription and with the note in parentheses (in Russian).

Tables should be given separately, marked with Arabic numerals and titles above the tables. Addditional list of the table titles and (if necessary) explanations should be given on separate sheets in two copies.

Figures (drawings, plots and photographs) should have numbers and the authors' names written with pencil (e.g. "Fig. 3, J. Smith"). Figure size must not exceed 25 by 36 cm. Figure captions should be given on separate sheets in two copies. 

Sequence of the first references to the figures should agree with the figure numbers.

In agreement with the opinion of the Editorial Board, from the volume 53 onward the papers will be printed in English exclusively. Only short abstracts will be included in Polish. The Editor will not cover the translation expenses, except for the costs of the linguistic verification, if necessary. Colour illustrations will be printed by the author's request and at her/his expense.

The Editor may select the papers for publication in Archiwum Mineralogiczne and, in cooperation with the author, make necesssary changes of the text and illustrations.
