Scientific interests and investigations
My current research focuses on amphibolites and metabasite rocks from Karkonosze-Izera block, NE part of Bohemian Massif. It encompasses two main topics:
Geochemistry of the
rocks, particularly trace element and REE concentrations allowing discrimination
of the geotectonic environment of rocks formation and providing chemical
characteristics of their magmatic source and its genetic affinity.
Petrology and metamorphic
evolution of the rocks determined on mineral chemistry, geothermobarometry,
phase diagram and fluid inclusions basis.
Other fields of scientific interest:
High resolution
transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) as an excellent tool in solving crystal
structures and studies on mineral reactions and transformations, with reference
to metamorphism.
Fluid inclusions study
applied to assessment of P-T conditions of geological processes, including
metamorphic evolution of rocks.
Application of Sm, Nd,
Sr, Pb isotope geochemistry of rocks to determination of their isotopic age and
genesis.

Music: classical but
above all ‘praise & worship style’ - CDs issued by Vineyard Music and
particularly by Hosanna!Music featuring Ron Kenoly, Don Moen et al.; I’m
greatly impressed by bass guitarist Abraham Laboriel’s brisk style, which
influences my own performances.
Trekking in
Carpathians Mts. (eastern Beskidy, Ukrainian and Romanian Carpathians) along
with interest in history, customs and wooden architecture as a unique heritage
of ethnic groups inhabiting these mountains since 16th - 17th century.
