Chapter 5.6 Amber (p.192 )

(...) Presently in Lower Silesia one may find amber lumps probably brought by continental glacier moving from the North to the South. The largest pieces of amber up to the fist size have been found in the Quaternary cover of the refractory clays in the mines "Janina" and "Edmund" at Jaroszów near Strzegom, where the clays are mined. It is necessary to mention, that the amber occurrences in Lower Silesia have no commercial importance, being only of mineralogical interest.
