Ship from amber - ctd.

A model of an old sail ship made from amber, having 120 cm in length.
This photograph was published in the A. E. Fersman's book "Zanimatelnaya mineralogiya" ("Interesting mineralogy") without any comment on the author of this masterpiece or place where it is (or was) kept. Note that this ship is very similar to the ship from the previous page. This photograph was taken from the Polish translation of the Fersman's book (page 52), issued by "Czytelnik" in Warsaw in 1951 under the title "Przedziwny świat minerałów" ("Strange world of minerals").
