Research topics:

testing of the physical, physico-chemical and microstructural properties of clay soils considering their regional distribution;

testing the deformability of clays and loesses caused by water: expansion, swelling, shrinkage, and collapsing;

the estimation of Polish clays and bentonites as a potential clay barriers based on such testing e.g. like: mineralogical analysis, swelling pressure, hydraulic conductivity and microstructure (with SEM);

testing the behavior of clays saturated of hydrocarbons;

testing the properties of organic soils, their distribution in Poland and the role in land planning;
