In 1968 scientific practise at the Lomonosov University in Moscow, and in 1981 in Great Britain. Scientific meetings and conferences in France, Finland and Russia. Since 1975 member of the International Association of Engineering Geology (IAEG), in 1980-1994 secretary of the Polish National Group in this association. In 1978-1981 member of the Commission of Engineering Geology in the Committee of Geological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Main topics of her research include:

the engineering-geological characteristics of building soils of different origin in order to determine features of their identification and correlation between various parameters;
|
|
ability of organic soils to retain different types of pollutants. Her lectures include soil science and pedology as well as seminars in engineering geology. She conferred a Ph. D. degree on three graduates.

Author of over 60 scientific articles, including over 20 in foreign languages, as well as author of numerous documentation studies and expertises.

Co-author of the text-books: "Gruntoznawstwo" (Soil Science) (1977) and "Metody badania gruntów spoistych" (Methods in investigations of cohesive soils) (III edition, 1980). Author of text-book "Laboratoryjne metody badania gruntów" (Laboratory methods of soil investigations) (Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN 1992, II edition 1998, III edition 2001), monography "Grunty organiczne i laboratoryjne metody ich badania" (Organic soils and laboratory methods of their investigation) (Wydawnictwo Naukowe PWN, 2001) and scientific dictionary "Leksykon gruntoznawstwa" (Lexicon of Soil Science) (PIG 1996).

She obtained numerous awards, including the individual award of the Minister of Education for her entire teaching activities (1988). Awarded the Knights Cross of the Order of Reborn Poland (1988).
