Selected field methods of evaluating hydrogeological and geological-engineering rock parameters; elements of: hydrogeological (i.e. measurements in dug and drilled wells, hydroizohypse maps - identification of depression cones of intakes in Chełm, measurements in sources and river flow, field analyses of selected physical and chemical water parameters), geological-engineering (description of exposures and shallow manual drillings, engineering-geological column and cross-section, organic soils, alluvia, fissuring, karst, loess erosion) and sozological mapping (monitoring of pollution sources: cement plant waste site, graveyard, oil-derived pollutants in vicinity of fuel tanks; visit in a modern municipal sewage treatment plant and demonstration of equipment used for remedial maintenance of the aquifer horizon).
