The seminar is focussed on two problems:
1) engineering-geological properties of soils for the purpose of spatial planning and environmental protection
(e.g. geological barriers, stabilization of soils, assessment of the expansivity of cohesive soils)
and 2) engineering-geological properties of cohesive soils on the background of their lithology and origin of microstructures.
From more than ten topics assigned for each academic year the students choose 1 or 2.
During the winter semester the topic is developed on the basis of scientific literature indicated by the tutor while during the summer semester,
after consulting the tutor, they present a paper related to their future master's thesis.
