Historic Atlas Coal Mine 
Step into the past, when coal was King. The Atlas Coal Mine is a registered provincial historic resource which preserves the vast coal mining heritage of Alberta. Walk the interpretive trails around an original mine site; join an interperter for a climb to the top of Canada's last wooden tipple; step into the now quiet wash house; enter a fully furnished miner's shack; hike up to see the old headworks and dynamite shed; walk around antique machinery; watch the award winning video "Thunder in the Valley". Displays, trails, interpretive programs and much more! Don't miss the unique souvenir collection in the Miner's Lamp Gift Shop. Washrooms, snacks and picnic area. The site is open to the public thoughout the summer, and year round for group bookings. Admission: $5 per person, $15 per family (2 adults, 2 kids). Admission includes all programmes and tours.
