Research
Protection and management of the geological environment, assessment of the
human impact upon the environment:
- studies and evaluation of the anthropogenic ground properties for waste
dumping, construction usage and as building substrate;
- hydrogeological, geochemical, hydrochemical analyses in the environmental
aspects and estimation of the expected changes for the areas of various land
uses;
- geological problems of waste storage and the environmental impacts of
landfills;
- recognition of the processes influencing the groundwater chemical composition
and prediction of the groundwater chemistry changes;
- trace elements in anthroposphere, radioactivity hazards in natural
environments.
Teaching
Basic courses: environmental protection and management; anthropogenic
grounds, recultivating and management of the degraded areas, groundwater
protection, building site and the environment, environmental geochemistry,
monitoring of the environment, pollutant dispersion and the water quality
management.
